Emersyn turned 4 months old on Friday. It’s so crazy how quickly it has went by. I think it goes by faster with your second. At her appointment today, she weighed 12.1 lbs and is 24 inches long. She is such a happy baby now and smiles ALL the time. She Loves being talked to and will just coo and talk back the entire time. She sleeps through the night with no issues. We lay her down about 9:30 and wake her back up at 6:30 when we have to get her ready to go to my moms. She is trying to roll over, but just hasn’t gotten the hang of it yet. Isaiah is still doing great with her. He says he loves her all the time and wants to hold her. We are so blessed to have such wonderful kids!

Is this really the same child???

I have completely neglected my blog lately. For good reason though…I’ve been hanging out with the coolest kids ever! Emersyn turned 2 months the other day. It’s so hard to believe how fast this has went by. She is doing great though and is such a joy. At her 6 week appointment she weighed 9lbs 4 oz and was 20.5 inch. She’s a happy baby and smiles anytime anyone talks to her. She gets fussy at night and fights sleep like no baby I have ever seen!!!! She is also the gassiest child i have ever been around, which wakes her up at night. (i’m sure she’ll appreciate me sharing that!) She is sleeping pretty well at night. She only wakes up 1 time most nights and has even went a few nights sleeping all the way through.

Isaiah is also doing great. He’s a great big brother. He loves when Emersyn smiles at him and he is constantly checking on her. One of the first things he says in the morning when he wakes up is “where’s Emersyn?”. We are working on potty training with him and it’s not going great. He gets excited about it for awhile and then other times he shows no interest. I’m hoping it sticks soon.

All in all we are doing great and just loving our family of 4. Everyday I realize how very blessed I am and how thankful I am that God has chosen this life for me!

Williams…..party of 4!!!!!

Emersyn is here!!! And she’s quiet perfect! This is one of those times I use my blog as a journal, so here’s the birth story of little Miss Emersyn Grace Williams.

Sunday night (mother’s day May 8th) I went to bed feeling completely normal. Well normal as you can at 9+ months pregnant. At about 1:00 I got up to do the usual middle of the night bathroom run. Nothing was out of the norm, so I just went back to bed. At 1:50 I woke up again, but this time with my water breaking though I wouldn’t be sure of this for a while. I woke Bobby up to let him know what I thought was going on. Then like any educated person would do, I googled “how to know if I pee’d or my water broke”. ) After reading a million different things, I decided to call my mom. After some convincing from her, I called my dr (side note…i had just been in the L&D traige the previous week in the middle of the night, so I really did not want to go back again to be sent home).

After being pretty convinced my water had broken, we decided to go to the hospital. We woke Isaiah up, dropped him off at Melissa’s and off we went. We stayed for about 2 hours and they decided that my water had not broken. I was really upset about this news, because I KNEW something was going on and they were not listening to me.

We got home around 6:00 am and I tried to lay down for a while. Sleep was not happening, as I was beginning to have contractions about 5-7 minutes apart. I waited for my Dr’s office to open and called them. Again, I was told to come back to UT but this time to their office. As soon as I got there, the Dr said without a doubt my water had broken and i was sent back to the hospital. We were being admitted but there was one problem……it was way overcrowded and they did not have a room for us. I felt a bit like Mary!! We were put in this LITTLE holding room at 9 and was there until 4. The holding room was really just a huge room separated with curtains and there were tons of other pregnant women in there.

At 12 I was only dilated to 1 and my dr ordered pictocin. I was completely against being “induced” so we began talking about csection. At this point they said the risks were smaller with the vaginal birth….so that’s what we went with. At 5:00 i finally got my epidural. at this point my contractions were so strong I seriously didn’t think I could do it any more. My dr came in to check me and guess what…..I was at 1.5! That was it!!! I was so upset. At 8:00 we again spoke with the dr about the plan for the rest of this labor and it was decided she would come back at 10 to check me again. Bobby and i had decided that at that point if I still was not dilated at least to 4 we would be having a csection. So we waited. In the meantime my epidural wouldn’t take fully so we were playing with that and i was still in pain. Finally about 9:00 we got that under control and my mom got to the hospital. (she had been keeping Isaiah all day). At about 10:15 my Dr came in the room to check me. She said “think of big numbers” and at this point I thought even a 2 would be a big number. However…..she said I was at 10 and she was about to come! I thought she was kidding. Anyway…long story short, I started pushing and at 10:36 the most beautiful little girl ever was born!!! She weighted 7lbs 3oz and 20 inches long.

I am so humbled by God’s answered prayers and how he never leaves us. To say i was scared about this would be an understatement. But He carried us through.

I cannot wait to get home to Isaiah and begin our lives as “Williams’s party of 4!!!”

Almost there!!!!

We have almost made it!!! Emersyn should be here within the next two weeks!! I will be 39 weeks on Tuesday. At this point not much has happened as far as dilation, so the drs are telling me to prepare for that c-section that I have not exactly wanted. About a month ago we decided if I naturally went into labor then I would try to avoid the csection. But it does not look like my body is going to do that. Its ok I am really just excited for her to get here and can’t wait to be a family of 4!!!!!

Some things u can be praying for if you wouldn’t mind are:
- a “normal” delivery- meaning no NICU for her and no almost dying for me!!!
- a smooth transition for Isaiah. I just know that he is going to be a great brother as soon as everything settles in
- that our ministries will go on seamlessly while we are taking a break for a few weeks
- we have recently been given an opportunity that I feel is such a blessing from God. Please pray that the details all work out and that we follow exactly what He wants us to do. (more on this later).

A new season of life and ministry

There have been a lot of changes lately in my life. Some good and some not so good. There is one change that I’m super excited about that I’ve been wanting to share on here for some time. As of this Sunday I will be the new Children’s Director at The Ridge!! I am so excited, scared, nervous, anxious and happy about this new season in my life. If you would have told me a year ago that I would be doing this I would have seriously thought u were crazy!!! Over the past year, God has really changed my heart. I feel very confident that He has planted in me a desire and passion to see and help children meet him and learn about Him at an early age.

Some of you might say…”wait arn’t you a Pastor’s wife and isn’t Bobby your ministry?” “The pastor’s wife shouldn’t have a leadership role in the church. ” “what is your church going to think about you doing this? how will they respond.” I have 3 simple answers to that. 1. Bobby is my top priority (under God of course) and I am first his wife and that will not change no matter what I’m involved in. 2. Just because God called Bobby to be a Pastor does not mean he took away all the gifting and desires He has given me! 3. I have no doubt in my mind that God is calling me to this, and He would not call me to something He does not want me to do.

Anyway…keep me in your prayers! I’m so excited about this chance to serve and cannot wait to see what God is going to do in the hearts of our little ones at The Ridge!

Pregnancy update

As of this coming Tuesday I will be 28 weeks pregnant. It’s crazy how much quicker this pregnancy has went by than the last. I went to the Dr this past Thursday and things are going great. After much discussion with the dr we have elected to do a csection this time. The reason is because I am high risk for the same thing happening that happened with Isaiah. Although I am a little nervous about the c-section, no way am I risking our lives and putting Emersyn through the trauma that Isaiah went through. So as of now we are tentatively scheduled for May 10th.

This pregnancy has went relatively normal and easy. I do feel like the uncomforts of pregnancy started earlier this time but we are dealing!! My new development this week is HUGE swollen feet! I had then with Isaiah but I was hoping we would skip that this time…. No such luck!! To date I have gained 10lbs and am really happy with that number. I have been trying hard not to gain like crazy like I did with Isaiah.

Her bedding came in last week and I am so excited to get her room put together. We are probably going to wait till spring break to paint, but I will post pics as soon as it’s all done!!!

Just wanted to do a little update because like I said before, this often serves as my journal!

What I love about Isaiah

Isaiah is my favorite little boy of all time!! There are so many things I love about him and I’m so excited that everyday I learn something new that I love about him. Here’s a list of some particular things….

I love how I can kiss all of his ‘boo boos’ and make them all better.
I love how goofy he!
I love how excited he gets about things and just yells “yay, yay!!!” and claps his hands
I love how he loves to play football with his daddy or anyone for that matter
I love his love for music. Everything in our house is either a drum stick, drum or guitar and he has some weird way of keeping a beat!
I love how he still needs his mommy and clings to me when he’s unsure of something
I love how much he loves our friends and talks about them when they are not around
I love how much he has taught me about God’s love.

Happy Valentine’s Day baby boy!!! I love you bunches!!!
